PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brace structure which can bear a tensile force and a compressive force and in which construction work is easy, and to provide a construction method of a brace.SOLUTION: A brace structure 20 includes: a pair of connection members 30 provided at a frame 10, and facing each other; a brace 50 connected to the connection members 30, and including a body member 52 formed by wood or concrete and an adjustment member 54 coaxial with the body member 52; through-holes 52H, 54H penetrating into the body member 52 and the adjustment member 54 along a material axis direction; and a tensile wire material (PC steel bar 60) which is inserted in the through-holes 52H, 54H, and whose both end parts are fixed to the connection members 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
