PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for operating a disk screen device that can prevent rolled contaminants from occurring and demonstrate stable performance even when the properties and flow rate of flowing-in sewage vary.SOLUTION: This invention is a method for operating a disk screen device comprising an inflow tank receiving liquid to be treated, a disk screen removing contaminants in the liquid to be treated, a cleaning device removing contaminants that stick to the disk screen, and an operation control device. On the basis of a predetermined relationship between a liquid level in the inflow tank and a rotational frequency of the disk screen, the operation control device controls a rotational frequency of the disk screen and maintains a liquid level in the inflow tank within a predetermined range depending on a liquid level in the inflow tank.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
