PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a state of difficulty of applying force to a hand or feeling a sense of incongruity by elderly or disabled persons, for example, due to existence of a joint touching the hand, in a handrail provided along the lateral side of a staircase having a turning part and comprising multiple handrail constituting members, and to allow easy body turning by uniformizing information to palms.SOLUTION: Multiple handrail constituting members 51-57 have upper face parts formed flat and allowing to place palms thereon, and have a width allowing to grip with a hand, and handrail constituting members 53, 54 disposed at a turning part and handrail constituting members 54, 55 adjacent to the handrail constituting members are continuously provided without using joint members at least not touching on the hand. At right-angled parts (both corner parts) of a stair landing 2 of a circumferential handrail 5 disposed along the circumference of the folding-back staircase having the landing 2, the adjacent handrail constituting members 53, 54 (54, 55) are continuously provided via horizontal part joints 58.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】方向転換部を有する階段の側方に沿って備えられ、複数の手摺構成部材からなる手摺において、例えば高齢者や障がい者が、手に触れる継手の存在により手に力が入らなかったり、違和感を与えたりするのを防止し、手の平への情報を統一化して、身体をうまく方向転換できるようにする。【解決手段】複数の手摺構成部材５１、〜５７は、手の平を載せることが可能な平坦に形成された上面部を有し、且つ手で握ることが可能な幅を有していて、方向転換部に配置される手摺構成部材５３・５４と、その手摺構成部材に隣り合う手摺構成部材５４・５５とが、少なくとも手に触れる継手部材は用いずに連続的に設けられている。踊り場２を有する折り返し階段の外回りに沿って配置される外回り手摺５で、踊り場２の直角部分（両隅部）において、隣り合う手摺構成部材５３・５４（５４・５５）同士が水平部分の継目５８を介して連続的に設けられている。【選択図】図１
