PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon short fiber reinforced composite material having a substrate part and a slide part, which has different physical properties, without generating a boundary layer.SOLUTION: There is provided a carbon short fiber reinforced composite material having a substrate part, and at least one slide part in contact with the substrate part, in which the substrate part and the slide part have a plurality of carbon short fiber bundles of which a part is SiC, and a SiC matrix existing between the plurality of carbon short fiber bundles respectively, average diameter of the plurality of the carbon short fiber bundles contained in the substrate part is larger than average diameter of the plurality of the carbon short fiber bundles contained in the slide part.SELECTED DRAWING: None
