PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a columnar ground improvement device capable of injecting cement milk into ground while preventing clogging of an ejection port and backflow of cement milk.SOLUTION: In a columnar ground improvement device 100: an excavation shaft 1 includes a first hollow portion 11; the first hollow portion 11 includes an opening 12; the opening 12 is supplied with cement milk 30a; and an excavation blade 2 includes a second hollow portion connected with the first hollow portion 11 and an ejection port 22 connected with the second hollow portion. A metal plate 24 including a bent portion is fixed to a surface of a substrate 23 of the excavation blade 2; at least the substrate 23 and the metal plate 24 form the second hollow portion; and a peripheral edge of the metal plate is in contact with the surface of the substrate to form the ejection port 22. Under a pressure lower than a predetermined pressure, the peripheral edge is kept in contact with the surface and the ejection port 22 is closed. Under a pressure equal to or higher than the predetermined pressure, the peripheral edge becomes separated from the surface, the ejection port 22 is opened and the cement milk is ejected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
