FOUR UNIAXIAL WHEELS WITH DIFFERENT DIAMETERS AND VEHICLE EQUIPPED WITH THE SAME:2 GAUGES TRAIN (WGT)
To provide a railway system with plural different gauges in which usually trains cannot mutually travel from one side over a discontinuous point of the track gauge to the other side and to overcome this problem, demonstrating study of three rails track, exchange of truck and recently, variable gauge vehicle have been done, however, each of them has a merit and a demerit and raises problems in an aspect of cost against performance, because of required ground construction works of the whole track or expensive vehicles equipped with complicated devices for gauge exchange and among them, the variable gauge vehicle is evaluated to be most convenient and is said to be near to realization but actually needs yet time to be practically used for the reasons that the structure is complicated and raises the problem of durability, vast expense of cost and difficulty of maintenance.SOLUTION: For a truck provided with plural wheel pairs of different diameter on a wheel shaft, an override type switch point structure has an approach track having rails for larger wheels in front of the structure which approach track makes the level of the track elevated from the low level to the level equal to the main line (the former rail track) at the structure and secures only gateways for the flange, thus lets trucks pass the structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】軌間の異なる鉄道路線は、その軌間不連続点を超えて相互に車輌乗り入れ運転が出来ない。それを解消すべく従来より三線軌道や台車の交換、最近では軌間可変車輌の実証研究が行われてきた。しかしそのどれもが一長一短があり路線総ての地上工事が必要であったり、複雑な軌間変換装置を装備した高価な車輌であったりして費用対効果の面で問題となった。その中でも一番利便性が高いのが軌間可変車輌であると評価され実現が近いと言われながら構造が複雑で耐久性や巨額の費用、維持管理面で難点があり実用化にはまだ時間が掛かるのが実状である。【解決手段】一つの車軸に複数の径の異なる車輪を持つ台車と、それにより大きい経の車輪用のレールをポイント手前に助走線路を設けて低いレベルからポイントのところで、本線(従前走行線路)と同じレベルに引き上げてフランジウェイのみを確保し、ポイントを通過させる乗り越え方式のポイント構造。【選択図】 図3
