To provide a boost water supply apparatus and a control method therefor, which can prevent a hunting phenomenon.SOLUTION: A boost water supply apparatus comprises: a pump; a back flow prevention device arranged on the primary side of the pump; a first suction pressure detection part arranged on the primary side of the back flow prevention device and detecting the pressure on the suction side of the pump; a second suction pressure detection part arranged between the back flow prevention device and the pump and detecting the pressure on the suction side of the pump; a discharge pressure detection part detecting the pressure on the discharge side of the secondary side of the pump; and a control part that controls the output of the pump on the basis of the discharge pressure, stops the pump when, during operation of the pump, a state that the first suction pressure is equal to or higher than a first reference value that is a target pressure and the second suction pressure is equal to or higher than a second reference value that is a start pressure set lower than the first reference value continues for a predetermined time, and restarts the pump when, during stopping of the pump, the first suction pressure becomes less than the first reference value or the second suction pressure becomes less than the second reference value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】ハンチング現象を防止できる増圧給水装置及びその制御方法を提供する。【解決手段】ポンプと、前記ポンプの一次側に配された逆流防止装置と、前記逆流防止装置の一次側に配され、前記ポンプの吸込側の圧力を検出する第1吸込圧力検出部と、前記逆流防止装置と前記ポンプの間に配され、前記ポンプの吸込側の圧力を検出する第2吸込圧力検出部と、前記ポンプの二次側の吐出側の圧力を検出する吐出圧力検出部と、前記吐出圧力に基づいて前記ポンプの出力を制御するとともに、前記ポンプの運転中に前記第1吸込圧力が目標圧力である第1基準値以上であって、かつ前記第2吸込圧力が前記第1基準値より低く設定された始動圧力である第2基準値以上となる状態が所定時間継続した場合に、前記ポンプを停止し、前記ポンプの停止中に第1吸込圧力が第1基準値未満もしくは第2吸込圧力が第2基準値未満となった場合、前記ポンプを再始動する制御部と、を備える。【選択図】図1
