To provide an article management machine, a management member and a method for managing articles that can improve workability because articles can be removed from the management member even if the management member is not inserted into an unlocking part, and that can prevent a third person with malicious intent from removing articles from the management member and using them illicitly.SOLUTION: The article management machine (key management machine 10, for example) comprises a storage part (holder storage part 32, for example) in which a management member (key holder 40, for example) for holding articles (keys, for example) is stored, and an unlocking part 46 that changes the management member from the locked state where articles cannot be removed from the management member to the released state where articles can be removed. The article management machine is provided with a state detection means (a photosensor, for example) that detects which state of the locked state and the released state the management member is.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

【課題】管理部材をロック解除部に挿入した状態でなくても管理部材から物品を取り外すことができるため作業性を向上させることができ、しかも悪意ある第三者により管理部材から物品が取り外されて不正に使用されてしまうことを抑制することができる物品管理機、管理部材および物品管理方法を提供する。【解決手段】物品管理機（例えば、鍵管理機１０）は、物品（例えば、鍵）を保持するための管理部材（例えば、キーホルダ４０）が収容される収容部（例えば、ホルダ収容部３２）と、管理部材を、当該管理部材から物品を取り外し不可とするロック状態から物品を取り外し可能な解除状態とするロック解除部４６とを備えている。また、管理部材がロック状態および解除状態のうち何れの状態であるかを検知する状態検知手段（例えば、フォトセンサ）が設けられている。【選択図】図１
