To provide an underground tank and a construction method of underground tank capable of reducing the construction period.SOLUTION: An underground tank 1 comprises: an underground continuous wall 5 constructed in the ground G and formed in a cylindrical shape; a tank main body 10 constructed inside the underground continuous wall 5 and capable of storing liquid; and a side heater 6 set along the outer peripheral surface 5a of the underground continuous wall 5. The tank main body 10 has a bottom plate 2 installed below the ground G surface having a substantially circular plan view, a substantially cylindrical side wall 3, and a domed roof 4 supported by the upper end portion 3a of the side wall 3. Multiple side heaters 6 are disposed along the outer peripheral surface 5a of the underground continuous wall 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
