PROCESSING EQUIPMENT AND PROCESSING METHOD FOR MERCURY-CONTAINING SUBSTANCE
To provide a processing equipment and processing method, capable of maintaining stable driving of processing equipment on volatilization and removal of mercury from a mercury-containing substance by using an external heat kiln by preventing growth of dust, etc., deposited on an inner surface of the external heat kiln.SOLUTION: The processing equipment 1 for a mercury-containing substance is equipped with an external heat kiln 5 for heating a mercury-containing substance (mercury-containing dust) D3 for volatilization of mercury involved in the substance, and a mercury recovery device (active carbon adsorption tower) 8 for recovery of mercury from a mercury-containing gas G2 exhausted from the external heat kiln, wherein the processing equipment 1 and its analog is characterized by that the external heat kiln contains a feeder (screw conveyor) 4 which rolls along with rotation of the external heat kiln and feeds a pulverization medium P for pulverization of a deposit derived from the mercury-containing substance deposited on an inner surface of the external heat kiln. The equipment may further contain a separation unit 9 for separation of a mercury-removed substance exhausted from the external heat kiln from the pulverization medium, and a carrier device for sending the pulverization medium separated from the separation unit back to the external heat kiln. As a pulverization medium, those having a grain diameter of φ5 mm or over and φ50 mm or under can be used.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】外熱キルンを用いて水銀含有物質から水銀を揮発除去する際に、外熱キルンの内面に付着したダスト等の成長を防止して処理装置の安定運転を確保する。【解決手段】水銀含有物質(水銀含有ダスト)D3を加熱して該物質に含まれる水銀を揮発させる外熱キルン5と、外熱キルンから排出される水銀含有ガスG2から水銀を回収する水銀回収装置(活性炭吸着塔)8とを備える水銀含有物質の処理装置1であって、外熱キルンに、外熱キルンの回転に伴って転動し、外熱キルンの内面に付着した水銀含有物質由来の付着物を粉砕する粉砕媒体Pを供給する供給装置(スクリューコンベア)4を備える処理装置1等。外熱キルンから排出される水銀除去物質と粉砕媒体とを分離する分離装置9と、分離装置によって分離された粉砕媒体を外熱キルンに戻す搬送装置とを備えてもよい。粉砕媒体として、粒径がφ5mm以上、φ50mm以下のものを用いることができる。【選択図】図1
