To provide a walking type working machine allowing quick take-out of a battery and quick mounting of the battery although the battery is equipped in a state of being covered with a cover from an upper side.SOLUTION: A battery pressing section 20 is formed in a cover 6. When the cover 6 is switched to a closed state, the battery pressing section 20 presses a battery 5 toward a battery mounting section 16. When the cover 6 is switched to an opening state, the pressing of the battery 5 is released. A lock mechanism 21 for fixing the cover 6 in the closed state includes: a lock section 22 provided in the cover 6; a fixing section 23 provided in a traveling machine body 1; and lock member 24 capable of switching to a lock state in which the lock section 22 is fastened and connected to the fixing section 23 and a lock releasing state for releasing the connection of the lock section 22 to the fixing section 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】バッテリーをカバーによって上側から覆わる状態で装備するものでありながら、バッテリーを手早く取出したり、手早く搭載したりできる歩行型作業機を提供する。【解決手段】カバー６の内部にバッテリー押圧部２０が形成されている。バッテリー押圧部２０は、カバー６が閉じ状態に切り換えられると、バッテリー５をバッテリー載置部１６に向けて押圧し、カバー６が開き状態に切り換えられると、バッテリー５の押圧を解除する。カバー６を閉じ状態に固定するロック機構２１に、カバー６に備えられたロック部２２と、走行機体１に備えられた固定部２３と、ロック部２２を固定部２３に締め付けて連結するロック状態とロック部２２の固定部２３への連結を解除するロック解除状態とに切換え可能なロック部材２４と、が備えられている。【選択図】図３
