To provide a highly waterproof roofing material without need of sealing material.SOLUTION: Multiple roofing materials 1, which have lower seams 3 at one end of the width direction of the main body and upper seams 4 at the other end are arranged toward the eaves direction as well as the eaves-ridge direction. And the lower seam 3 and the upper seam 4 of each roofing material are engaged with the upper seam 4 and the lower seam 3 of the neighboring roofing material 1 respectively to make up the roof. The main body of the roofing material is covered up by a lining material 5 extending from the edge of the lower seam 3 to the upper seam 4, and the lining material 5 has an extension 5a which covers a part of the upper seam 4 and is sandwiched between the lower seam 3 of the neighboring roofing material 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】シール部材を不要としながらも高い止水性を確保できる屋根材を提案する。【解決手段】本体部分の幅方向の一端に下ハゼ３を有し、該本体部分の幅方向の他端に上ハゼ４を有する屋根材１の複数枚を、軒方向、軒−棟方向に沿って配列するとともに、各屋根材の下ハゼ３、上ハゼ４を、隣接配置される屋根材（１′）の上ハゼ（４′）、下ハゼ（３′）にそれぞれ嵌合させて屋根材同士を相互につなぎ合わせて屋根を構築する屋根材において、該本体部分は、下ハゼ３の末端から上ハゼ４に向けて伸延し該本体部分の裏面を覆い隠す裏貼り材５を有するもので構成する。そして、該裏貼り材５に、上ハゼ４の少なくとも一部分を覆い隠すとともに、隣接配置される屋根材（１′）の下ハゼ（３′）との間にて挟持される延長部分５ａを設ける。【選択図】図２
