To overcome the reduction in strength at joints between segments and enhance the suppression effect of floating of a buried structure on the ground.SOLUTION: A segment 5 that constitutes a buried structure to be buried in the ground comprises: an outer surface portion which constitutes an outer wall of the buried structure and whose wall surface is formed in a hexagonal shape; an inner surface portion which constitutes an inner wall of the buried structure and whose wall surface is formed in a hexagonal shape; and a plurality of side surface portions 55a, 55c, 55d, 55e, 55f connecting opposing edges of the outer surface portion and the inner surface portion. The outer surface portion has an outer bending surface bent along one diagonal of the hexagon. Among the plurality of side surface portions 55a, 55c, 55d, 55e, 55f, the side surface portions 55c, 55d, 55e, 55f intersecting the diagonal form an acute angle with the outer bending surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
