To provide a method for preventing corrosion of a press-fit butt-type flange joint which can be repaired even if a material filled in a clearance portion is deteriorated with age, while preventing corrosion from the clearance portion formed between an inner surface of a main column material of a press-fit portion of the press-fit butt-type flange joint and a tapered portion of a tip of a hub portion.SOLUTION: A method for preventing corrosion of a press-fit butt-type flange joint attached to an end of a main column material of a steel pipe steel tower comprises the steps of: applying an adhesive in a clearance portion formed between an inner surface of the main column material of a press-fit portion and an outer surface of a hub portion; affixing a sheet-like protective material to an application surface of the adhesive; and filling the remaining recess of the clearance portion with the adhesive to fill the clearance portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
