To determine a position of a portable device even when a body of a vehicle is resinified, and more accurately determine that the portable device is present inside and outside a cabin.SOLUTION: An LF transmission antenna is arranged so that directions of magnetic field vectors are different with a borderline region between inside and outside of a cabin of a vehicle as a boundary, a portable device includes an RSSI measurement circuit which measures RSSI of an LF signal received from the LF transmission antenna, a vector direction specification part specifying the directions of magnetic field vectors of the LF transmission antenna and an RF transmission part replying a response signal including the RSSI and the directions of the magnetic field vectors, and BCM 30 includes a response acquisition part 303 which acquires the response signal replied from the RF transmission part and a position determination part 306 which performs inside and outside determination using not only the RSSI included in the response signal acquired by the response acquisition part 303 but also the directions of the magnetic field vectors, and determines a position of the portable device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
