To provide an oriented ceramic containing BiScOand PbTiOas a material for piezoelectric element applied to a piezoelectric actuator and an ultrasonic transducer or the like, and a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an oriented ceramic that includes BiScOand PbTiO, orients to a plane (100) by pseudo-cubic crystal representation, and is a morphotropic phase boundary of rhombohedral or rhombohedral and other crystal system. The oriented ceramic includes composite perovskite in which the orientation obtained from Lotgering factor is 60% or more, and which is Pb(B1,B2)Otype (where, B1 and B2 are B site elements constituting different perovskite to each other). A manufacturing method for the oriented ceramic includes: molding slurry into a sheet-like shape, the slurry containing seed particles, and matrix particles constituting the oriented ceramic and having an average particle diameter of 1 μm or smaller; and sintering the sheet after molding.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】圧電アクチュエータや超音波トランスデューサ等に適用される圧電素子の材料であるＢｉＳｃＯ3とＰｂＴｉＯ3とを含有する配向セラミックスおよびその製造方法の提供。【解決手段】ＢｉＳｃＯ3およびＰｂＴｉＯ3を含有し、擬立方晶表示で（１００）配向し、菱面体晶又は菱面体晶と他の結晶系の組成相境界である配向セラミックス。ロットゲーリングファクターより求めた配向度が60%以上であり、更に、Ｐｂ（Ｂ１,Ｂ２）Ｏ3型（但し、Ｂ１およびＢ２は互いに異なるペロブスカイトを構成するBサイト元素である）の複合ペロブスカイトを含有する。又、シード粒子と配向セラミックスを構成する平均粒子径が１μｍ以下であるマトリックス粒子を含むスラリーをシート状に成形した後、シートを焼結する配向セラミックスの製造方法。【選択図】図１
