VISCOUS DAMPER
To provide a viscous damper which can secure required attenuation performance by properly compensating for the lowering of the viscosity resistance of a viscous body caused by a temperature characteristic and a repeat characteristic even if large vibration energy as in the occurrence of a long-period earthquake motion is repeatedly inputted.SOLUTION: A viscous damper 1A comprises: a ball screw 11 having a screw shaft 11a connected to a first region in a system including a structure, and a nut 11b screwed to the screw shaft 11a; a rotatable first inner cylinder 12 connected to the nut 11b; a non-rotatable first outer cylinder 13 fitted into the first inner cylinder 12, and connected to a second region; a viscous body 14 charged into a clearance between the first inner cylinder 12 and the first outer cylinder 13; a second inner cylinder 22 which rotates in conjunction with the first inner cylinder 12; an immovable second outer ring cylinder 23 opposing the second inner cylinder 22; and a plurality of permanent magnets 24 arranged between the second inner cylinder 22 and the second outer cylinder 23, and making the second inner cylinder 22 rotating in a magnetic field generate Lorentz force by eddy current in a direction opposite to the rotation of the second inner cylinder.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】長周期地震動の発生時のように大きな振動エネルギが繰り返し入力される場合においても、温度特性や繰り返し特性による粘性体の粘性抵抗の低下を適切に補い、所要の減衰性能を確保できる粘性ダンパを提供する。【解決手段】本発明による粘性ダンパ1Aは、構造物を含む系内の第1部位に連結されるねじ軸11a、及びねじ軸11aに螺合するナット11bを有するボールねじ11と、ナット11bに連結された回転自在の第1内筒12と、第1内筒12に嵌合し、第2部位に連結される回転不能の第1外筒13と、第1内筒12と第1外筒13の間の間隙に充填された粘性体14と、第1内筒12と連動して回転する第2内筒22と、第2内筒22に対向する不動の第2外筒23と、第2内筒22と第2外筒23の間に配置され、磁界内を回転する第2内筒22に、その回転と反対方向の、渦電流によるローレンツ力を発生させる複数の永久磁石24と、を備える。【選択図】図3
