To provide a steel slag processing method that can calculate an amount of substance required to inhibit an elution amount of boron from steel slag at a level less than or equal to a desired level, by using a substance including calcium aluminate as an elution inhibitor in which the elution amount of boron from the steel slag can be effectively reduced.SOLUTION: A steel slag processing method comprises the steps of: mixing a substance including calcium aluminate to steel slag including boron; determining a mixing ratio set as less than or equal to an objective elution amount from a predetermined relation between a mixing ratio representing a mass ratio of the above substance to the steel slag and an elution amount of boron from the mixture; and mixing the above substance to the steel slag as an object to be processed at the determined mixing ratio or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】鉄鋼スラグからのホウ素の溶出量を効果的に低減し得る溶出防止剤として、カルシウムアルミネートを含有する物質を用いることを前提とし、鉄鋼スラグからのホウ素の溶出量を所望の基準以下に抑制するために必要な物質の量を算出可能とする鉄鋼スラグの処理方法を提供する。【解決手段】ホウ素を含有する鉄鋼スラグに、カルシウムアルミネートを含有する物質を混合する。鉄鋼スラグに対する前記物質の質量比を表す混合割合と混合物からのホウ素の溶出量との予め求められた関係から、目標の溶出量以下とする混合割合を決定する。次いで、処理対象となる鉄鋼スラグに前記物質を、決定した混合割合以上混合する。【選択図】図２
