To provide an antifouling coating achieving reduction of adhesion of marine organisms to a ship bottom, a marine structure, a fishing net or the like and enhancing fuel consumption efficiency of marine vessels or the like, providing long coating adhesion term to the ship bottom, an underwater structure, a net for cultivation, a fishing net, a floating mark, an industrial water system facility or the like, and having no generation of marine pollution.SOLUTION: The antifouling coating containing an additive for the antifouling coating contains a sulfur component which is one additive for antifouling coating mainly containing a sulfur powder with particle diameter of 2 to 100 μm and red iron oxide (iron component) with particle diameter of 0.3 to 0.4 μm of 5 to 10 wt.%, and another red iron oxide (iron component) of 4 to 12 wt.%. By making an antifouling coating mainly containing sulfur and red iron oxide, efficiency can be obtained.
【課題】本発明の目的は、船底、海洋構造物、漁網等への海洋生物の付着の減少を図ると共に船舶などの燃費効率を高め、船底、水中構造物、養殖用網、漁網、浮標、工業用水系設備等に対する塗料接着期間の長期化が得られ、海洋汚染の生じることの無い、防汚塗料を提供する。【解決手段】本発明に係る防汚塗料用添加物を含有する防汚塗料は、粒径2〜100μmの硫黄粉末と粒径0.3〜0.4μmの弁柄(鉄分)を主成分とした事を特徴とする防汚塗料用添加物の一つ硫黄分5〜10重量%を含有し、もう一つは弁柄(鉄分)4〜12重量%を含有する。硫黄と弁柄二つを主成分とする防汚塗料とすることでより有効性を有することができる。
