To provide a shovel capable of detecting gradual descent of an attachment.SOLUTION: A shovel according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an undercarriage; a revolving super structure rotatably mounted on the undercarriage; an attachment attached to the revolving super structure; a posture detection device attached to the attachment to detect a posture of the attachment; and a control device for detecting abnormality on the basis of the posture.
