To provide a porous structure that has extremely few defects, has excellent heat resistance and chemical resistance, has a coating layer that resists breaking and peeling, prevents leakage of mixture fluid, and maintains airtightness.SOLUTION: A porous structure according to the present disclosure has a porous body 4 of inorganic material, and a coating layer 3a that coats part of the surface of the porous body 4. 【課題】欠陥が極めて少なく、耐熱性および耐薬品性に優れ、破壊や剥離が発生しにくい被覆層を有し、混合流体の漏れを防止し、気密性を保つ多孔質構造体を提供する。【解決手段】本開示に係る多孔質構造体は、無機材料の多孔質体４と、多孔質体４の表面の一部を被覆する被覆層３ａとを有する。被覆層３ａは、無機酸化物の非晶質相と結晶相とを含み、結晶相は、少なくともＣａ2ＺｎＳｉ2Ｏ7結晶およびチタン含有結晶を含む。【選択図】図１
