FINGERPRINT AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE
To provide a fingerprint authentication system for a vehicle which can suppress further consumption of electric power.SOLUTION: A fingerprint authentication system for a vehicle comprises: a fingerprint reading part having a fingerprint reading surface against which a finger designated for fingerprint authentication is pressed on a surface of a door handle of a driver's seat; a fingerprint authentication information storage part which stores fingerprint authentication information for authenticating a fingerprint that is read by the fingerprint reading part; a switch which is disposed in a deeper position from the fingerprint reading part and turns on when the finger designated for fingerprint authentication is pressed against the fingerprint reading surface with such a force that allows the fingerprint to be read by the fingerprint reading part; and a fingerprint authentication part which is started together with the finger print reading part as well as the finger print authentication information storage part when the switch is turned on and performs authentication of the fingerprint read by the fingerprint reading part on the basis of the fingerprint authentication information stored in the fingerprint authentication information storage part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
