To provide an update period calculation method of calculating the period of reconstruction of a water-supply-pond-like structure.SOLUTION: An update period calculation method includes: a depth-direction-portion exposing process S101 of exposing a depth direction portion in the internal direction from the surface of the water-supply-pond-like structure; a neutralization depth measuring process S102 of measuring the degree of progress of the neutralization from the surface in the internal direction; a parameter substitution process S103 of substituting the neutralization depth, the lapse period from the completion date of the water-supply-pond-like structure to the investigation date, and a fog allowing the neutralization from the surface of the water-supply-pond-like structure for the following equation; and an update period determination process 104 of determining the update period through the calculation of this equation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
