To improve the convenience.SOLUTION: An automatic opening/closing system 1 includes a panel body 24, a locking device 4 for setting the panel body 24 in a locked state and an unlocked state in a selective manner, an opening/closing drive device 3 for moving the panel body 24 to a closed position and an open position in a selective manner, a first biometric information detecting device 8 for detecting biometric information of a person on the outdoor side of the panel body 24, and a controller 18 for controlling the operation of the locking device 4 and the opening/closing drive device 3. The controller 18 includes an authentication unit 181b which determines whether or not the person at the outdoor is a registered person in advance on the basis of the biometric information detected by the first biometric information detection device 8 when the panel body 24 is positioned at the closed position and is concurrently set in the locked state, and an opening/closing control unit 181c sets the panel body 24 to an unlocked state and moves the panel body to the open position when authenticated, and maintains the locked state of the panel body 24 when not authenticated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
