To provide an electrically-driven door closer capable of holding a door in a state of being open.SOLUTION: An electrically-driven door closer for electrically opening/closing a door comprises: a motor for performing opening/closing drive on a door; and a control unit for controlling the motor. The control unit operates in an automatic opening/closing mode of opening the door at a set fully-open position that is set in advance before closing the door into a fully-closed position. When the door is opened to a position exceeding the set fully-open position by external force, the control unit shifts from the automatic opening/closing mode to a free-stop mode for holding the door in a free zone, a region equal to or exceeding the set fully-open position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
