To provide a retaining structure of a cord braking device capable of visually checking a braking operation of the cord braking device for regulating the movement of the cord with the shielding members suspended to prevent shielding members of the shading device from moving too fast.SOLUTION: A cord braking device 1 is held by a head box 102 at a position where visually recognizable the turning movement of weight 7a, the turning movement of holding leg that holds weight 7a, or the rotating motion of the power transmission members that transmit power for turning the weight 7a, which moves when the cord braking device 1 performs the braking operation from outside of the head box 102. A part or the whole of the casing containing the weight 7a and the power transmission member is made of a material having light transmissivity to improve the visibility.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 39
【課題】 遮蔽装置の遮蔽材が不必要に高速で移動しないように、遮蔽材を吊下したコードの移動を規制するコード制動装置の制動動作を、視認により確認できるようにする。【解決手段】 コード制動装置１の制動動作時に運動する、ウェイト７ａの旋回運動またはウェイト７ａを保持している保持脚部の旋回運動、ウェイト７ａを旋回させるための動力を伝達する動力伝達部材のいずれかの回転運動を、ヘッドボックス１０２の外部から視認できる位置となるように、コード制動装置１をヘッドボックス１０２に保持させる。これらウェイト７ａや動力伝達部材を収容した筐体の一部または全部を光透過性を有する材料により構成して、視認性を向上させる。【選択図】 図３９
