To provide a fire protection structure for a guide rail which has a simple structure and which can suppress possible deformation of an outer frame caused by a flame thereby improving fire prevention performance.SOLUTION: A fire protection structure for a shutter guide rail 37 comprises: a shutter curtain 21 which is raised and lowered outside an opening 13; guide rails 23 which extend in an elevation direction of the shutter curtain 21 and receive respective side sections 35 of the shutter curtain 21 for guidance; outer frames 25 each made of aluminum and configured such that a mounting piece section 63 extending along the guide rail 23 to be in parallel with an outer wall 15 is fixed to the outer wall 15, an outer plate section 53 connected to the mounting piece section 63 supports an outer side of the guide rail 23 and an inner plate section 47 connected to the mounting piece section 63 supports an inner side of the guide rail 23; and reinforcing members 27 each having a fixing piece section 65 made of steel and fixed to the outer wall 15 together with the mounting piece section 63, the fixing piece section 65 being bent to form a supporting piece section 67 which is superposed in parallel with at least a portion of the inner side plate section 47.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
