To reduce the size of a regulating device which regulates a relative movement amount in the horizontal direction between an upper structure and a lower structure.SOLUTION: A seismic isolation building 10 includes: a seismic isolation layer 12 provided between a lower floor portion 30 and an upper floor portion 40; an elevator shaft 50 projecting from the upper floor portion 40 to the seismic isolation layer 12; a regulating device 100 regulating a relative movement amount in the horizontal direction between the upper floor portion 40 and the lower floor portion 30; a convex portion 110 constituting the regulating device 100 and provided on a lower surface portion 54 of the elevator shaft 50; and a restricting portion 120 constituting the regulating device 100 and provided on an upper surface portion 32 of the lower floor portion 30 and surrounding the convex portion 110 in plan view so that the convex portion 110 hits it when the relative movement amount exceeds a predetermined threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
