To provide a steel stairway and a construction method of a steel stairway capable of comprising higher vibration control property while securing degree of freedom in a floor planning.SOLUTION: A steel stairway provided between an upper story floor and a lower story floor comprises: one stairway portion fixed to one of the upper story floor and the lower story floor; and a vibration control unit connecting the one stairway portion with the other of the upper story floor and the lower story floor. The vibration control unit comprises: a first joint member fixed to the one stairway portion; a second joint member fixed to the other stairway portion; and a vibration control member provided between the first joint member and the second joint member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
