To provide a steel frame cutting device and a steel frame cutting method capable of reliably cutting an object in a state in which a force is applied and easily recovering the device.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a steel frame cutting device for cutting a steel frame, comprising: a holding part having a pair of arms for holding a flange part of the steel frame in a short direction; and/or a magnet part for generating a magnetic field to magnetically attract and fix the flange part from above in a vertical direction of the steel frame; a cutting part that is slidably supported by the holding part and provided with a wire saw for cutting the steel frame held by the holding part in the transverse direction; a drive part for driving the cutting part such that the cutting part is separated from or proximal to the holding part in the longitudinal direction of the steel frame; a control part for controlling the holding part, the cutting part, and the driving part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
