To easily and firmly fix a cover member to a core material in a handrail provided with a support having the core material and the cover member.SOLUTION: A handrail 3 includes a handrail support 6 for holding a handrail surface material 7. The handrail support 6 has a support main body 69 arranged along the vertical direction, a pair of fixing plates 70, 70 provided on the support main body 69 so as to sandwich the support main body 69, and a support cover 71 covering a periphery of the support main body 69 provided with the pair of fixing plates 70, 70. The support cover 71 is fixed to the support main body 69 with a drill screw 112 screwed into the pair of fixing plates 70, 70 through the support cover 71 in a state that the support cover 71 covers the periphery of the support main body 69.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
【課題】芯材とそのカバー部材とを有する支柱を備える手摺において、芯材にカバー部材を容易にかつ強固に固定する。【解決手段】手摺３は、手摺面材７を保持する手摺支柱６を備える。手摺支柱６は、上下方向へ沿って配置される支柱本体６９と、支柱本体６９を挟むようにして支柱本体６９に設けられる一対の固定プレート７０，７０と、一対の固定プレート７０，７０が設けられた支柱本体６９の周囲を覆う支柱カバー７１とを有している。支柱カバー７１が支柱本体６９の周囲を覆った状態で、支柱カバー７１を介して一対の固定プレート７０，７０にドリルネジ１１２がねじ込まれることで、支柱カバー７１が支柱本体６９に固定される。【選択図】図５
