To provide a vibration control reinforcing method for an existing building capable of installing a mass damper in the existing building while suppressing an increase in seismic force acting on the existing building at the time of earthquake and effectively preventing vibration of the existing building.SOLUTION: A vibration control reinforcing method for an existing building EB having multiple story floors, comprising: a contraction step of removing a target part to be removed from the existing building EB to reduce a mass of the existing building EB ; and a mass damper installation step of installing a mass damper 5 having a mass 5A in an existing building EB.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
