To provide a method of producing a ceramic honeycomb structure body constituted of a separation wall of high porosity by controlling generation of coarse defects in the separation wall.SOLUTION: The method of producing a honeycomb structure body, comprising a process of extrusion-molding a green body including a ceramic raw material and a pore-forming material made from hollow resin particles into a prescribed molding body and a process of drying and calcining the molding body, is characterized in that the green body contains 3 to 9 pts.mass of the pore-forming material and 20 to 30 pts.mass of water relative to 100 pts.mass of the ceramic raw material, and the water is an aqueous alkali solution of a pH of 8.5 to 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1(a)
【課題】隔壁に粗大な欠陥が発生するのを抑制し、高気孔率の隔壁からなるハニカム構造体を製造する方法を提供する。【解決手段】セラミック原料及び中空の樹脂粒子からなる造孔材を含む坏土を所定の成形体に押出成形する工程、及び前記成形体を乾燥及び焼成する工程を有し、前記坏土が、前記セラミック原料100質量部に対して、3〜9質量部の前記造孔材及び20〜30質量部の水を含有し、前記水がpH8.5〜12のアルカリ水溶液であることを特徴とするセラミックハニカム構造体の製造方法。【選択図】図1(a)
