To improve the technology for manufacturing carbon composite materials.SOLUTION: A method for producing carbon composite materials of this invention comprises a step of curing a composition containing a resin, a carbon material, and optionally a curing agent for promoting curing of the resin, and a step of heating the cured composition to carbonize the resin. The composition contains a curing agent in an amount necessary for setting the carbonization yield of the resin in the step of carbonizing the resin to a value within a predetermined range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
