DRIVE DEVICE FOR VEHICLE OPENING/CLOSING BODY
To provide a drive device for vehicle opening/closing bodies for which a repair is easy when a drive unit operates defectively.SOLUTION: The drive device for vehicle opening/closing bodies comprises an opening/closing body that is supported so as to be able to open and close an opening for space which is formed in a vehicle body, and a drive unit that is connected to the vehicle body side and opening/closing body side and makes the opening/closing body open and the close by changing the distance between the connection locations on the vehicle body side and opening/closing body side by using drive force from a drive source. A connecting protrusion is provided on the opening/closing body side or vehicle body side. The drive device includes: a socket that is provided for the drive unit and into which the protrusion is inserted in a fitting manner; a stopper that is supported by the socket, and changes to a coming-out prevention shape that restricts separation of the socket from the protrusion and a release shape that allows the socket to be separated from the protrusion; and transmission means that transmits force for changing the stopper from the coming-out prevention shape to the release shape depending on operation by operating means that is provided outside the space.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
