To provide a safety device for a temporary scaffold which has no possibility of dropping a falling object beaten by receiving it on a face bar positioned at an end from a side part on an open side, and has high safety.SOLUTION: A safety device 1 for a temporary scaffold includes: a plurality of vertical frame members 3 which have a rear end connected to a predetermined height position of a plurality of columns S1 aligned at spacings in the right-and-left positions on a front side part of a temporary scaffold S and are installed in a tilting state with its front side up; a face bar 7 which is tensioned and fastened over the vertical frame members 3 having the rear end connected to horizontally adjacent columns S1; and a side part cover 10 which is provided between the vertical frame members 3 positioned at an end of the plurality of vertical frame members 3 and an upper portion of the rear end in the columns S1 to which the rear end of the vertical frame members 3 is connected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
