To provide a vibration control device capable of reducing a size of occupied space as much as possible and of performing a proper period adjustment in multi directions easily, to reduce a response in other direction of the architectural structure, and the architectural structure having this.SOLUTION: A vibration control device B comprises a plurality of vibration control columns 3 having laminated rubber bodies (horizontal spring elements) 1 and 2, coupling beams 4, 5 arranged coupled above the laminated rubber bodies 1,2 of the plurality of vibration control columns 3, a weight body 15 supported by the coupling beams 4, 5 and installed on the coupling beams 4, 5, and an oil damper and/or a rotary inertia mass damper 6 connected to the architectural structure A at one end and to the coupling beam 4 (or the coupling beam 5) at other end.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
