To provide a construction method of an underground structure making an economical design and workability compatible, and an underground structure.SOLUTION: A construction method of an underground structure includes: an excavation step of excavating a ground 2 to form a vertical shaft 3; a spraying step of spraying a first solidification material to a wall face 3W of the vertical shaft 3 to form a first solidification material layer 6A; an earth retaining member installation step of installing an earth retaining member 4 inside the vertical shaft 3; and a filling step of filling a second solidification material between the earth retaining member 4 and the first solidification material layer 6A to form a second solidification material layer 6B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
