To provide an advance/retract movement device that can prevent an advance/retract member in an advance position from moving to a retract direction even when the advance/retract member receives a one-direction external force that is enough to move the advance/retract member to a retract direction due to vandalism or the like.SOLUTION: An advance/retract member that can advance from and retract into a case is biased using a biasing member, from the retract position side to the advance position side. An engaged portion is provided for one of the case and the advance/retract member, and an engagement portion is provided for the other. The engaged portion is provided in a spiral shape along the axial direction of the advance/retract member. The engagement portion slides with the engaged portion by means of a restriction on relative movement of the advance/retract member in the axial direction due to engagement with the engaged portion. The advance/retract member is provided so as to relatively move in the axial direction of the advance/retract member while rotating relatively to the case due to sliding of the engaged portion and the engagement portion. The biasing member biases the advance/retract member in a one-turn direction when the advance/retract member advances. The engaged portion has a blocking portion that contacts the engagement portion and blocks retraction of the advance/retract member when the advance/retract member is pushed in a retract direction without sliding of the engaged portion and the engagement portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
