To provide a steel pipe pile protection structure that can prevent a decrease in protection functions.SOLUTION: The steel pipe pile protection structure comprises a protection cover 13 that is wound around a steel pipe pile 11 that is included in a port steel structure and is made of a thermoplastic resin. The protection cover 13 comprises a joint 13B for which ends 13E along the circumference of the steel pipe pile 11 are joined using electric welding. The joint 13B comprises an outer surface that is included in one of the ends 13E, and an inner surface that is superposed outside the outer surface and included in the other end 13E, and the outer surface and the inner surface are joined using electric welding.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
