To provide a simple protection facility which is more reinforced than conventional ones.SOLUTION: A bridge girder protection facility 10 for protecting against passage of a vehicle having a height exceeding passage limit comprises a steel beam 14 to stretch between columns 12, and a cord 18 stretching between the columns. The cord has a length to begin receiving a collision load when the vehicle collides with the steel beam 14 from a presumed collision direction to cause plastic deformation of the steel beam 14 into a predetermined distorted state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】従来よりも強化された防護工を簡単に実現するための技術を提供すること。【解決手段】橋桁防護工１０は、通行限界高さを超える車両の通行を防護する防護工であって、支柱１２の間に架け渡された鋼梁１４と、所定の衝突想定方向から車両が鋼梁１４に衝突することにより鋼梁１４が塑性変形して所定の変形状態に至った際に当該衝突の荷重を受け始める長さを有するように支柱間に架け渡された索状体１８と、を備える。【選択図】図２
