【課題】ワイヤーロープ式防護柵を用いた場合の前記問題点である「ワイヤーロープとの接触により走行車体が損傷すること」が極力回避されるように、ワイヤーロープに被せるワイヤーロープカバーを提供する。【解決手段】筒状のカバー本体２と、カバー本体２の軸心Ｐ方向に貫通形成される切り込み３とを有し、カバー本体２は、硬質合成樹脂材製の芯材４と、芯材４より柔らかい合成樹脂材製で芯材４を覆う主材５とから形成されているワイヤーロープカバー。芯材４がコイル状に形成されるとともに、主材５が円筒状に形成されている。【選択図】図１
