To provide a support tool capable of steplessly repositioning a support arm portion provided on the peripheral side surface of a telescopic device.SOLUTION: A support tool 1 comprises: a telescopic device 2 consisting of a screw jack structure, which includes a multi-cylindrical body 3, and a power transmission shaft 5 which is located on the central axis of the multi-cylindrical body 3 and stretches and retracts individual cylinders 3a-3c that make up the multi-cylindrical body 3 while preventing them from rotating; and a support arm 13 that is slidably provided on the outer surface of the cylinder 3c and directly or indirectly supports an object to be supported. The cylinder 3c has a non-contained area B that is not contained in a hollow portion of the outermost cylinder 3a. The non-contained area B includes a screw portion 22 formed on the peripheral side surface thereof, a position adjusting portion 17 screwed on the screw portion 22, and an annular portion 16 that is provided around the outer surface of the non-contained area B and directly or indirectly supports the support arm 13 by restricting the slide in the non-contained area B by the position adjusting portion 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
