To provide an article delivery system and an article delivery method, capable of improving user-friendliness about article delivery using a storage device.SOLUTION: An article delivery system 1 comprises a storage device 2 and a server 3. The storage device 2 comprises a storage unit 4 which stores an article, and an acquisition unit 7 which acquires biological information from a customer serving as a delivery destination of an article stored in the storage unit 4. A control unit 17 of the server 3 receives in advance biological information of a customer serving as a delivery destination of the article. The server 3 manages the biological information of the customer received by the control unit 17 in association with specific information for identifying the article delivered to the customer. A control unit 11 of the storage device 2 collates the biological information acquired by the acquisition unit 7 with the biological information managed by the server 3 for delivery of the articles stored in the storage unit 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
