To provide a joining structure of a square steel pipe and an H-shaped steel capable of reducing weight, and a joining structure between square steel pipes.SOLUTION: A joint structure 101 of a square steel pipe 5 and an H-shaped steel 6 is the joint structure of the square steel pipe and the H-shaped steel for joining an end part of the square steel pipe 5 and an end part of the H-shaped steel 6 arranged along a predetermined direction each other; at an end 51b of the square steel pipe 5, there are a slit 52 formed in the opposing pair of plate surface parts 51a so as to penetrate through in the thickness direction of the plate surface portion 51a, and a projecting web part 63 provided on a web 62 of the H-shaped steel 6, projecting toward the square steel pipe 5 from a flange 61, and is located inside the square steel pipe 5; end parts 63a, 63c on the flange 61 side in the projecting web part 63 are arranged in the slit 52 and welded to a pair of plate surface part 51a of the square steel pipe 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
