To absorb energy by performing shear plastic deformation to a vibration control damper, for enhancing workability of the vibration control damper.SOLUTION: Connection hardware for a vibration control damper comprises a base plate 41 whose one plane is connected to a connection end of a steel structure member, and a dowel plate 42 which is anchored so as to stand or hang at the other plane 41d of the base plate 41. In the dowel plate 42, a plurality of open holes 45, 46 and 47 arranged in a direction separating from the base plate 41 is formed, and the closest open hole 45 to the base plate 41 among them is smaller than the open hole 46 which is farther from the base plate 41 than the open hole 45.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
