To provide an electrically-driven hydraulic construction machine provided with a driving system for driving a hydraulic pump with an electric motor which suppresses an increase in power consumption of the electric motor according to a state of a power source, and allows a device to be used in an appropriate state, at the time of start of driving of an actuator.SOLUTION: A controller 50 sets a normal relief pressure Pn (first relief pressure) as a target relief pressure of a relief valve 3 when an operation lever device 44 is not operated and a power storage amount SOC(t) (state amount of power source) of a battery 62 is equal to or higher than a threshold S1, and sets a reduced relief pressure Pr(t) (second relief pressure) lower than the normal relief pressure Pn (first relief pressure) as the target relief pressure when the operation lever device 44 is not operated and the power storage amount SOC(t) (state amount of power source) of the battery 62 is smaller than the threshold S1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
