To provide a geopolymer composition having a long pot life while an initial strength and the like can be maintained in the case of room temperature curing and short-term curing, and a method of producing the same.SOLUTION: The geopolymer composition according to the present invention includes a first component containing an alkali metal salt, a second component having pozzolanic activity and an electrical conductivity difference of 0.4 mS/cm or more, and a third component composed of slag, in which the slag contains 0.1 mass% or more and 5.8 mass% or less of calcium carbonate. And the method of producing the geopolymer composition according to the present invention includes a step of performing a carbonation treatment of slag in an atmosphere having a carbon dioxide concentration of 1% or more, and a step of mixing the first component containing the alkali metal salt, the second component having pozzolanic activity and the electric conductivity difference of 0.4 mS/cm or more, and a third component composed of the slag having undergone the carbonation treatment.SELECTED DRAWING: None
