The ventilation facility (1) includes a window frame member (3) located on the indoor side and an opening covering member (7) located on the outdoor side and covering the opening of the building. The opening covering member (7) is approximately of a box shape without top plate and has at least a surface (7a) along the wall surface of the building, an upper end surface (7b), a lower end surface (7c), a left side surface (7d), and a right side surface (7e). 【課題】本発明の目的は、防犯性に優れ、雨水の進入を防止し、２４時間の屋内の通気が可能であり、かつ製造や設置の費用を低くすることが可能な通気設備を提供することである。【解決手段】通気設備（１）は、建物の開口に設ける。通気設備（１）は、屋内側に位置する窓枠部材（３）と、屋外側に位置し前記建物の開口を覆う開口覆部材（７）と、を備えている。開口覆部材（７）は、天板のない略箱状であり、少なくとも、建物の壁面に沿う面（７ａ）と上端面（７ｂ）と下端面（７ｃ）と左側面（７ｄ）と右側面（７ｅ）を有している。左側面（７ｄ）と右側面（７ｅ）のそれぞれには、複数の開口部（７ａｃ）を有している。【選択図】図３
