To provide a lock/unlock for a hinged door that can accurately and easily check the lock/unlock state and others thereof when the hinged door undergoes for example a remote monitoring system.SOLUTION: A lock/unlock mechanism M1 for a hinged door D, which is connected to a lock/unlock status monitoring device, includes a locking device A that locks and unlocks the hinged door D, an opening/closing guide device G that guides the hinged door D to move freely, and a switch device J of the lock/unlock status monitoring device. The switch device J has a switch portion 72a that switches on and off by a pressing operation, and is configured to be subjected to a pressure when brought into engagement with a to-be-engaged member (engagement shaft 44 of a receiver 40) in conjunction with an operation of an engaging body (hook 93) and to be free from the pressure when the engaging body is disengaged from the to-be-engaged member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
